MOOT COURT SOCIETY
The Moot court Hall at JRSET College of Law is designed to provide students with practical exposure to courtroom proceedings. A dedicated Moot Court Committee, comprising student representatives and faculty coordinators, oversees moot court activities, workshops, and seminars to enhance advocacy and research skills. Regular intra-departmental moot court competitions are conducted, offering students hands-on experience in legal argumentation. Additionally, renowned advocates are invited to train students in pleading and advocacy.
LEGAL AID CLINIC, AWARENESS & OUTREACH PROGRAMME
The Legal Aid Clinic at JRSET College of Law operates in accordance with BCI guidelines, offering pro bono legal assistance to the underprivileged under the supervision of faculty and practicing advocates. The Legal Aid Committee, comprising students and faculty, organizes legal awareness camps, outreach programs, and interactive sessions in semi-urban and rural areas of Nadia, West Bengal. These initiatives aim to promote legal literacy and access to justice. Additionally, our students actively participate in the National Lok Adalat, gaining practical experience in dispute resolution mechanisms.
HANDS-ON LEGAL LEARNING: COURT VISITS
The college organizes court visits to various judicial institutions and specialized tribunals such as the National Green Tribunal (NGT), Consumer Forums, Debt Recovery Tribunals (DRT), and the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). These visits enable students to gain practical insights into legal proceedings, court decorum, and procedural law.
